Under administrative supervision, the Director II acts as the primary contact for an assigned account(s) and is responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with several of J.B. Hunt's DCS national clients across multiple regions with possible average revenue impact of up to $75M. The Director II must drive uniformity through our business practices and consistently deliver a high level of customer service to the client

Key Responsibilities:
• Utilize the strategy created by the Sales Leadership to develop projects that focus on the expansion of services for clients to drive Customer Value Delivery (CVD).
• Direct the efforts of retention and/or growth of current business at acceptable profit levels through operations execution analysis, P&L analysis, forecasting of business changes, pricing and both internal and customer presentations.
• Provide Customer Value Delivery (CVD) by forming customer metrics, evaluating pricing, and creating/changing current operational designs.
• Provide day to day support for direct report(s) and customers as well as provide tactical resolutions for various customer issues; escalate issues to manager(s) as needed.
• Perform quarterly and annual internal and external business reviews. Facilitate discussion on account health and strategic needs, and action plans to address strategic and/or tactical needs to support the customer and account health.
• Work with and ensure follow through of internal support personnel (Safety, Compliance, HR, Legal, IT) in the creation of operational design plans, pricing packages, and technology integration proposals to create a customized package to present to customer.
• Ensure growth of direct reports as relates to our business with focus on customer communication and relationship management, where applicable (i.e., for people manager).
• Work closely with operations to ensure our business practices are in compliance and alignment with customer agreements.
• Develop and implement uniform practices and methodologies to ensure clients receive equivalent but high level of service from each account location regardless of operational region.
• Monitor Accounts Receivable status to ensure customers are paying J.B. Hunt within the terms and conditions of their contract. • Create account portfolios and deliver biannual presentations to JBH EMT to review growth, retention, and financial strategy of top 50 customers.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 5 or more years of Transportation/Logistics or related experience.
Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record as per JBH standards.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree with 5 or more years of dedicated transportation, transportation/logistics, or related experience

Knowledge of the J.B. Hunt's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters

Experience in establishing and maintaining healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers
Ability to analyze customer activity and demographic data for the purpose of predicting future customer behaviors and trends
Knowledge of and ability to implement effective strategies and activities that promote long-term customer loyalty
Experience in assessing customer needs and provide solutions for them
Knowledge of account management practices, tasks, and tools and ability to provide services and support to key clients
Ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Compensation:
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company’s bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
