POSITION SUMMARY

This position is accountable for TARIAN Security Systems Integration division by assisting in the development of the strategies, programs and policies necessary to meet client needs. Under the direction of the Senior Vice President of Security for TARIAN, the Director of Security Systems Integration provides operational leadership and support, value-added services, management, and direction for TARIAN Security Systems Integration accounts.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
  • Supervises Operations Managers, Business Development activities, office manager, estimator and assists with areas of responsibility as needed
  • Effectively hires, manages, motivates, coaches, and formally evaluates the performance of all direct reports
  • Mentors and trains operations managers on company policies, practices and regulations
  • Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information
  • Accountable that customer installations are completed in a timely manner and within established budget parameters
  • Develop, maintain, document, and promulgate subject-matter expertise related to all areas related to low-voltage security installations and technology
  • Prepares and manages budgets, purchases and makes recommendations for company expenditures
  • Administrative oversight of customer invoicing and accounts payable for individual projects and department operations
  • Fulfills role of department subject matter expert of the centralized materials management software (CMMS) used by TARIAN
  • Analyzes department effectiveness, productivity and budget; makes recommendations and/or changes as appropriate
  • Assists sales team with RFP development and pricing strategies for new and existing business and with identifying proper equipment needs
  • Aggressive and active in competitive accounts, maintains strong knowledge of competition and industry trends
  • Analyzes business conditions and trends and advises on organizational impact
  • Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development
  • Communicates with TARIAN Operations Support Center (central dispatch) on new business opportunities that affect their department, current work order status and outstanding customer issues
  • Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Coordinates and assists with various security division initiatives and training endeavors as needed
  • Works and interacts with current and prospective employees, current and prospective clients, sales representatives, vendors, guests, and visitors

Qualifications

A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required for this position upon receiving a conditional offer of employment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Electronics or related field required or equivalent experience. Masters Degree is preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of management experience including 2-3 years in low voltage electronics
  • Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification required within one year of eligibility
  • Project management experience and training
  • Current and valid driver license and ability to meet the company's driving requirements
  • Expert knowledge of security equipment and systems at the senior level
  • Proficiency with office computers and XP Office Suite, Excel, Project Management software
  • Proven ability to generate new ideas, form and manage teams, solve problems, and deliver results in a timely, cost-effective, cooperative, and thorough manner

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this position, individual may be required to stand and walk for extended periods using handheld equipment and power tools and wearing personal protective equipment in a healthcare environment. May also spend time walking, standing, and touring medical and other facilities. May lift and carry up to 200lbs (may request assistance). May encounter frequent climbing of stairs and ladders. Will use normal range of vision, hearing, and speaking. Frequently engages in mental concentration, analysis and formulation. While visiting client locations, individual may occasionally be exposed to changes in temperatures, humidity, chemicals, bodily fluids, and other conditions commonly found in medical and other environments. Individual will often be required to physically climb, bend, crouch, squat, crawl, kneel, balance, reach, and twist to accomplish duties.
