This is a critical role driving the relationships and continued growth at Orion180. In this role, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth through the development and management of strategic relationships with national and super-regional independent insurance brokerages. This role serves as the primary relationship owner for assigned brokerage partners, leading growth strategy, production planning, and execution in alignment with Orion180's geographic footprint, underwriting appetite, and profitability objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop and manage strategic relationships with national and super-regional independent insurance brokerages
  • Serve as the relationship owner for assigned accounts, maintaining regular engagement with brokerage executive leadership, carrier relations teams, and production leaders
  • Create and execute account-specific growth strategies to maximize profitable premium production across targeted states and products
  • Lead annual business planning and quarterly business reviews with key brokerage partners
  • Prospect, evaluate, and secure new national brokerage partnerships aligned with Orion180's geographic expansion and underwriting strategy
  • Coordinate onboarding, implementation, and go-to-market growth strategies for newly appointed brokerage partners
  • Partner closely with underwriting, actuarial, and product management teams to ensure growth initiatives align with pricing discipline and profitability targets
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, business intelligence, operations, product development, and customer experience teams to enhance broker and agency experience
  • Monitor and analyze production trends, mix of business, retention, loss ratio performance, and agency quality metrics
  • Collaborate with territory management and field sales leadership to execute national brokerage strategies at the local market level
  • Assist in the design and execution of incentive programs, growth campaigns, and agency engagement strategies

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 10+ years of experience in insurance distribution or carrier sales leadership
  • Significant experience managing relationships with national or large regional independent brokerages
  • Strong understanding of property insurance lines, distribution models, underwriting dynamics, and agency economics
  • Proven track record of driving profitable premium growth within independent agency channels
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with underwriting, product, operations, and executive leadership teams
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to engage effectively at the executive level
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and strategic planning capabilities


Ideally, we would like this role to be in-house at one of our locations in Melbourne, FL, Dallas, TX, or Draper, UT; but we are open to remote or hybrid for this role.
