Full Job Description
The Macon Mayhem is seeking an accomplished Director of Sales to spearhead our comprehensive sales initiatives and enhance fan engagement.

Position Overview:

The Director of Sales will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategic sales plans across all revenue streams, including ticket sales (season, group, individual), and contributing to corporate partnerships. This leadership role focuses on maximizing revenue, optimizing sales processes, and fostering strong relationships with our valued fans and the community.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve and exceed revenue goals across all ticket categories (season, group, individual).
  • Oversee the entire sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation to closing and retention.
  • Identify, cultivate, and close new sales opportunities with businesses, community groups, and individual fans.
  • Drive significant revenue growth through innovative sales initiatives and strategic marketing collaboration.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activity to identify new opportunities and refine sales tactics.
  • Collaborate closely with marketing, game operations, and executive team to create integrated campaigns and compelling offers.
  • Manage and optimize the use of CRM software for sales tracking and reporting.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, season ticket holders, and community stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage sales forecasts and pipelines.
  • Represent the Macon Mayhem at community events, networking functions, and industry conferences.
  • Potentially recruit, train, and mentor junior sales staff or interns, or manage specific sales team members.


Essential Skills, Experience & Abilities:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in sales within the sports or entertainment industry, with demonstrated success in achieving revenue targets.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful sales strategies for various revenue streams (e.g., ticket sales, group sales).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a commitment to achieving targets.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, particularly during the hockey season.
  • A passion for sports and a deep understanding of the fan experience and the sports business landscape.
