Full Job Description
Planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluating rehabilitation programs, services and personnel in a manner that supports the goals of the designated facility while meeting federal and state regulations and the state specific practice acts for Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy. Responsible for direct patient care delivery in their discipline. Completes all duties in accordance with established medical practices, governmental requirements and Company policies and procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrates commitment to company's mission, values, and standards of ethical behavior.

  • Ensures that all residents are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect, and their rights are protected at all times.
  • Respects and upholds all residents' personal and property rights whenever carrying out duties, including knocking before entering a resident's room.
  • Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Manages the rehabilitation program for the facility or designated facilities.
  • Manages rehab staffing levels and patient care levels to meet clinical and operational needs.
  • Ensures ongoing rollout of new policies and procedures to departmental staff.
  • Participates in facility performance improvement program.
  • Participates in facility marketing activities as indicated.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech-language pathology school. Licensed by the state in which the therapist resides or practices, according to state requirement.
  • If not licensed therapist, high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three (3) years of clinical experience with some prior management experience preferred.
