Role OverviewThe Director of Recruitment provides strategic and operational leadership for BRC's Recruitment Department, ensuring the agency attracts, hires, and retains qualified talent to meet organizational staffing needs. This position is responsible for developing and executing innovative recruitment strategies that result in positions being filled efficiently and effectively. The Director drives continuous improvement across the recruitment lifecycle by leveraging technology, AI, workforce analytics, proactive sourcing, and strong partnerships with hiring managers to build sustainable talent pipelines and improve hiring outcomes. The Director leads the ongoing evolution of the Recruitment Department by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance the candidate experience, strengthen recruiter performance, and ensure positions are filled in a timely manner. This role also provides oversight of recruitment compliance and candidate experience while supporting the agency's contingent workforce needs.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership- Develop and execute a comprehensive recruitment strategy that ensures positions are filled efficiently and aligned with organizational staffing needs.
- Lead the continuous evolution of BRC's recruitment model, identifying opportunities to improve hiring outcomes, streamline processes, and strengthen recruiter accountability.
- Partner with senior leadership to anticipate workforce needs and develop proactive recruitment strategies.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the Recruitment Department.
Recruitment Operations- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Recruitment Department, ensuring all open positions are actively managed from requisition through start date.
- Monitor recruiter performance, hiring activity, vacancy trends, and recruitment metrics to ensure timely hiring.
- Ensure each requisition has a defined recruitment strategy and that hiring managers remain engaged throughout the hiring process.
- Continuously evaluate recruitment workflows and implement improvements that increase efficiency and reduce barriers to hiring.
Technology & Innovation- Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of recruitment technology, including AI-powered screening and automation tools.
- Manage and refine AI interview workflows (e.g., HeyMilo), ensuring interview questions and screening criteria evolve with organizational needs.
- Identify and implement innovative recruitment solutions that improve efficiency, candidate quality, and recruiter productivity.
- Stay current on emerging recruitment technologies and recommend enhancements that strengthen the department's effectiveness.
Community Outreach & Talent Pipelines- Develop long-term sourcing strategies and partnerships with colleges, workforce development organizations, community agencies, and professional associations.
- Expand grassroots recruiting efforts beyond traditional job boards to build diverse and sustainable talent pipelines.
- Create recruitment marketing initiatives that increase awareness of BRC career opportunities and support hard-to-fill positions.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement- Use recruitment data to identify trends, remove operational barriers, and improve overall department performance.
- Present recruitment updates, strategic initiatives, and workforce planning recommendations to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications- Five or more years of progressive recruitment leadership experience.
- Experience leading high-volume recruitment operations in a complex, multi-site organization.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruitment technology.
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing recruitment metrics, dashboards, workforce analytics, and performance reporting.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change, develop staff, and drive operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree preferred.
Working Conditions- Work is performed primarily in an office environment with regular interaction with agency leadership, hiring managers, recruiters, and HR team members.
- Requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate in a fast-paced, high-volume recruitment environment.
- May require travel between BRC locations, participation in recruitment events, and occasional evening or weekend events based on organizational needs.
- Requires regular use of recruitment technology, applicant tracking systems, reporting tools, and other digital platforms.
