J. J. Keller is seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the strategy, growth, and success of J. J. Keller's Compliance Products portfolio while overseeing our Customer Care function. As Director of Product Management, you will drive product innovation, customer satisfaction, and portfolio profitability by leading the full product lifecycle-from strategy and development to launch and optimization.

This highly visible leadership role partners across Product Management, Customer Care, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain to deliver customer-focused solutions that meet market needs and support long-term business growth. You'll lead high-performing teams, shape product roadmaps, champion the voice of the customer, and influence key business decisions that drive results.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads, develops and coaches associates across Product Management and Customer Care functions through direct and indirect leadership:
    • Provides clear expectations, feedback and recognition
    • Participates in the hiring/selection process
    • Writes and conducts performance evaluations and progress reports
    • Handles associate relations issues
  • Delivers results in line with the following key metrics/accountabilities:
    • Strategic planning for product and service roadmaps
    • On time and quality delivery of new product and service offerings
    • Establishing product and subscription service pricing
    • Revenue and gross margin objectives
    • Associate retention
    • Budget control
    • Customer satisfaction, service level attainment, and retention
  • Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management
    • Performs customer / market needs analysis and manages the existing assigned lines by delivering products that address those needs
    • Develops and manages processes that transform business requirements into detailed product requirements and leads cross functional teams in product definition and design
    • Collaborates with internal stakeholders and Innovation team on the creation of a product roadmap for all Compliance Products lines
    • Manages the delivery of new products until production is stable and able to be transitioned to standard manufacturing, sourcing, and supply chain teams
    • Participates in Corporate planning initiatives to support new and existing market opportunities
  • Translate customer insights from Customer Care into product improvements, roadmap priorities, and product strategy decisions
  • Identifies systemic customer issues and drives cross-functional resolution with Product, Operations, and Supply Chain
  • Delivers responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP) and special pricing agreements that establish an appropriate tension between profitability and competitiveness
  • Partners with Sales channel leaders on the negotiation of pricing, terms and conditions and other key agreement components
  • Leads the business unit quality function with emphasis on customer satisfaction through product conformance and ISO 9001:2015 compliance
  • Oversees the maintenance, optimization, and lifecycle management of product designs conducted by the business unit engineering team
  • Collaborates with Manufacturing and Distribution on new product introduction, product obsolescence, and process improvement initiatives
  • Represents J. J. Keller at industry and market events to promote assigned products
  • Carries out responsibilities in a fair, ethical and non-discriminatory manner and ensures that staff follows these same guidelines
  • Manages expenses in line with departmental budgets and corporate business conditions
  • Enforces and supports all company policies and procedures. Fully supports the company's commitment to safety and the environment and strives to maintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace.


Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a Technology field.


Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in a product management (including owning product strategy, development, and delivering across multiple portfolios) with consumer products or business supplies products.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience working with sales, marketing, client service and operations teams on new product launches or line extensions.
