Full Job Description
The Role
As Director of Product, Customer Experience & Conversion, you will serve as the end to end owner of our primary insurance funnel, our highest-impact, core revenue engine. This role requires a unique balance: the analytical rigor to systematically optimize our current product experience, paired with the long-term vision to design and execute the next generation of our transactional funnel.

You will lead a team of Product Managers dedicated to driving Revenue Per Visitor (RPV), conversion rates, and traffic-oriented monetization. Operating with complete metric ownership and commercial accountability, you will establish product benchmarks, leverage advanced experimentation models, and architect dynamic funnel experiences tailored to user intent and traffic channels.

Reporting to product leadership, you will partner closely with engineering, design, data analytics, and commercial teams to turn complex consumer behaviors and traffic dynamics into scalable, high-converting product features.

Location
Our company headquarters are in Austin, TX, but our employees work remotely across the US. For folks who live around Austin, we offer the option to join us in our office or opt for a hybrid setup. Whether you prefer the structure of an office, the convenience of remote work, or a mix of both, we support what works best for you!

Please note: at this time we are not able to hire in Massachusetts.

What You'll Do
  • Drive RPV & Conversion Outcomes: Take end-to-end accountability for the financial performance and user experience of our core funnel, driving sustainable growth in Revenue Per Visitor through continuous, data-backed optimization.
  • Architect the Next-Gen Funnel: Define and execute a long-term strategic vision for our core transactional experience, continually re-imagining how high-intent consumers compare and purchase insurance online.
  • Lead via Benchmarking & Quantitative Prioritization: Establish clear product performance benchmarks to evaluate maximum potential, set realistic growth targets, and prioritize roadmap initiatives strictly by quantitative business impact.
  • Capitalize on Traffic Segmentation: Design tailored user journeys and monetization mechanics that dynamically adjust based on acquisition source, partner channel, and user intent.
  • Lead, Coach, & Maintain Roadmap Discipline: Mentor and raise the operational bar for your team of Product Managers. Serve as a principled leader who protects team focus by anchoring stakeholder alignment in joint prioritization, capacity, and ROI rather than reactive requests.
  • Deploy Advanced Optimization Frameworks: Move beyond standard A/B testing by applying sophisticated optimization strategies-including multi-armed bandit modeling and multivariate testing-to accelerate learning velocity and efficiency.
  • Ensure End-to-End Metric Visibility: Partner closely with Data & Analytics to audit tracking infrastructure, eliminate data gaps across the conversion journey, and define primary and secondary KPIs that accurately reflect product-driven revenue.

What We're Looking For
  • 8+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years directly managing and scaling high-performing PM teams.
  • Proven track record of owning high-volume, consumer-facing conversion funnels and driving traffic-oriented monetization within complex, transactional environments.
  • Deep experience in traffic segmentation, including building dynamic user flows aligned with specific acquisition channels and intent profiles.
  • Expertise in quantitative prioritization, product benchmarking, and commercial unit economics (RPV, CAC, LTV, conversion velocity).
  • Solid understanding of advanced experimentation methodologies, including multi-armed bandit algorithms, multivariate testing, and algorithmic yield management.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with a track record of defending roadmap integrity, communicating trade-offs, and influencing senior stakeholders with data.

Experience That Will Impress the Heck Out of Us
  • Product leadership experience in complex, high-friction consumer sectors-such as insurance, personal finance, lending, or banking-where optimizing conversion requires managing nuanced decision-making journeys.
  • Background in two-sided transactional marketplaces, balancing real-time consumer intent with monetization dynamics.

Benefits & Perks

Inclusive and healthy environments are crafted intentionally. Here are some other wonderful perks of working here:
  • Competitive Compensation & Stock Option Offering
  • Health, Dental, Vision & Disability Coverages
  • Sabbatical program for tenured employees
  • HSA offering + employer contribution
  • Fertility support through Carrot
  • $100 monthly wellness perk
  • $300 pet reimbursement program
  • 401k with match
  • Unlimited PTO (paid time off) + flexibility to enjoy it
  • Paid Parental Leave Program
  • Learning & Development Opportunities

The base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $240,000 per year. The final salary amount will be determined based on a variety of factors, including experience, skills, internal equity, and insights gained throughout the interview process.
