Qualifications

• 8+ years of procurement experience, particularly in substation/T&D projects.
• Strong knowledge of substation equipment, manufacturers, suppliers, and industry standards.
• Experience negotiating major equipment and material contracts.
• Proven ability to manage complex, long-lead procurement activities.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Utility-scale EPC, electrical construction, or renewable energy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement strategy for substation and T&D equipment, materials, and services.
• Manage sourcing and supplier relationships for critical components like transformers and breakers.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, delivery schedules, and supplier agreements effectively.
• Develop and maintain a breadth of qualified supplier networks and identify new strategic vendors.
• Establish collaborative partnerships with Engineering, Project Management, Construction, and Finance teams.
• Oversee procurement schedules, long-lead equipment, expediting, and supplier performance management.
• Establish procurement processes, controls, and KPIs to drive efficiency.
