The CAR Group is seeking an experienced
Director of Procurement to lead enterprise-wide sourcing, vendor management, and purchasing strategy across our portfolio of automotive businesses.
This is a rare opportunity to build and shape a centralized procurement function that supports a growing organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, you'll partner with executive leadership to develop procurement strategy, establish scalable processes, strengthen supplier partnerships, and deliver measurable cost savings across multiple business locations.
We're looking for a leader who enjoys building systems, influencing strategy, and driving meaningful business results-not simply managing day-to-day purchasing.
For immediate consideration, please email:What You'll Do- Develop and execute an enterprise-wide procurement strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Build standardized procurement processes and governance across multiple locations.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and vendor relationships.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining operational excellence and service quality.
- Develop reporting that provides leadership with visibility into spend, supplier performance, and savings initiatives.
- Partner closely with Finance, Legal, Operations, Accounting, and business leaders on procurement decisions.
- Proactively manage supplier performance and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
What We're Looking For- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain leadership experience.
- Proven success building or transforming procurement organizations in a multi-site environment.
- Strong experience negotiating enterprise contracts and managing strategic supplier relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver measurable cost savings and process improvements.
- Experience partnering with executive leadership and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, financial, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications - Automotive dealership, retail, or other multi-location operating experience.
- Familiarity with CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or comparable business systems.
- MBA or advanced degree.
