IES Commercial, Inc. - DBA IES Electrical, seeking Procurement Director, Suffolk VA
Job Summary- Develop and implement company-wide procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Establish sourcing plans for electrical materials, equipment, subcontracted services, and indirect spend categories.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve purchasing processes, and increase supply chain efficiency.
- Lead procurement forecasting and long-term material planning efforts.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, and service providers.
- Negotiate pricing agreements, rebates, contracts, and strategic partnerships.
- Oversee purchasing activities for all company locations, divisions, and projects.
- Collaborate with project management, estimating, operations, finance, and warehouse teams.
- Monitor purchasing trends, material cost fluctuations, and market conditions.
- Develop annual savings targets and track procurement performance against goals.
- Analyze procurement data and prepare executive reports on purchasing activity, supplier performance, and cost savings initiatives.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field Preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible procurement experience.
- Experience within electrical construction, commercial construction, industrial construction, or related industries strongly preferred.
- Proven success managing multi-million-dollar procurement budgets and supplier agreements.
- Proficient MS Office/EXCEL knowledge
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, drug test, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
