The OpportunityThe Director of Plant Operations is responsible for leading all manufacturing operations while developing the operating systems that enable Server Products to scale under NorthStar II. This leader oversees production, planning, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver exceptional safety, quality, productivity, and profitability. This role partners closely with Sales, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product Development to ensure manufacturing operations support business growth, successful product launches, and outstanding customer experiences. The Director builds a culture of operational excellence by developing leaders, implementing Lean manufacturing principles, standardizing processes, and driving continuous improvement across the organization.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with company growth objectives for all manufacturing operations
- Participate in strategic planning and development 1, 3, and 5 year operations business plan
- Develop and lead the company's continuous improvement strategy using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, PDCA, and structured problem-solving methodologies
- Monitor plant performance and implement corrective actions to achieve annual operational objectives through established KPIs and performance metrics
- Champion a culture where safety is the first priority
- Build, coach, and develop a high-performing operations team
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or related technical field required. Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
- Minimum 5 years leading multiple operational functions in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated success leading Lean transformations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience developing leaders and building high-performing teams
