Overview

The individual in this position will report to the Vice President, Physician Practice Operations and will support the Physician Network from an operational perspective. They will be responsible for assessing the current needs of the physician practices and will provide support in areas of practice operations, workflow optimization, quality outcomes and patient, provider and staff satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist with practice integration and alignment through assessing the local stakeholder environment and building the support system needed to address improvement opportunities among front-line staff, department managers, practice administrators, providers and senior medical directors.
  2. Conduct current-state assessments by shadowing staff members and mapping out existing workflows to identify areas for workflow optimization and access improvement.   3. Identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement in office workflows and assist departments in operationalizing the necessary changes.
  4. Assist with onboarding and practice transformation through assisting new providers successfully transition into our system and support practice moves and consolidations.
  5. Develop an efficient, effective and positive collaborative relationship between community physicians, Faculty Physicians and staff with Medical Center staff and Faculty
  6. Develops project scopes, timelines and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical, financial and operational feasibility.
  7. Coordinates project management activities, resources, equipment and information
  8. Works with the FP's Chairs, Division Chiefs, Administrators and other members of leadership to develop and implement strategies for short and long-term planning and program development for the growth of the practice plan
  9. Develops project scopes, timelines and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical, financial and operational feasibility.
  10. Leads project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external vendors to keep everyone up-to-date and on track
  11. Coordinates with internal departments and resources as well as third-party companies and vendors where applicable for the flawless execution of projects
  12. Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  13. Develops and maintains a detailed project plan to track progress and hold individuals accountable
  14. Measures project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  15. Performs varied and complex tasks, including the handling of confidential material. Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive material and information. Completes all assignments accurately; regularly proofs final copies to ensure they are in an attractive and easy-to-read format.
  16. Works with MMC point of contacts for HR, MIS, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal and PMO teams where applicable to ensure success of organizational initiatives
  17. Researches and identifies potential areas for clinical and administrative growth improvement opportunities based on FP department goals and national benchmarking metrics.
  18. Assists and collaborates with departments on the implementation of the physician network vision and goals around patient access and practice efficiency
  19. Supports team efforts and assists others in the effective application of system integration techniques and strategies to achieve system, application, and revenue reliability. Excels in our agile, personal, imaginative and connected goals with a self-management style. Meets established milestones and schedules.
  20. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education :

Bachelor's Degree and 5-7 years of healthcare-operations experience. Masters degree preferred.

Experience :

Significant experience in supporting and optimizing a sizable medical practice or practice system from an operational standpoint.

Skills:

Good interpersonal skills.
Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position.
Understanding of cost accounting concepts.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Peoplesoft.

Pay Range

USD $140,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
