PAMF-Palo Alto Medical Foundation CAD

Position Overview:
Is responsible for supporting PAMF's fundraising programs, with special emphasis on individual donor cultivation. This role will have a specific focus on raising principal, major, annual and planned gifts with an individual annual fundraising goal of $1.5M - $3M+. Provides leadership and is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating programs and initiatives, and for the fiscal and administrative structures in this capacity, the Director leads, directs, coordinates, and executes the planning for Philanthropy strategies in a manner aligned with the goals Sutter Health.

Accordingly, also serves as administrative liaison to Senior Management and Medical Staff, as well as to Sutter Health leadership, in order to ensure the smooth and integrated operation of the organizations, and the appropriate alignment of operational strategies with the overall mission and available resources. Externally, represents Sutter Health in the community through various activities, ensuring that the mission and the programs of the Foundation are accurately understood and carried out. Serves as a catalyst for community collaboration by developing the Foundation as a resource for the community in improving the health of its residents.

12 years recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all fundraising approaches, with special expertise and understanding of capital campaigns, principal and major gifts, and planned giving.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual and institutional prospects and donors.
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders including Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officers (CEOs), Corporate Partners and Physician Leaders.
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and expertise in strategic planning, hospital fundraising, donor acquisition, and donor and stakeholder engagement.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey concepts and communicate information or issues in a manner that is readily understood by management and employees.
  • Demonstrates credible leadership presence, with the ability to respond to questions with logic, clarity, calmness and authority; and the ability to motivate and engage others.
  • Delegates effectively, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with changing business priorities.

Pay Range is $157,830.40 to $236,745.60 / annual salary

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health's comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
