JOB DESCRIPTION

Director of Pharmacy, Behavioral Health
Full-time, Monday-Friday

How you’ll contribute 

Director of Pharmacy who excels in this role:

  • Develops and implements departmental goals, plans, and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.

  • Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination, and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.

  • Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orienting, evaluating, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives.

  • Prepares, monitors, and evaluates departmental budgets, and ensures that the department operates in compliance with allocated funding. 

  • Coordinates and directs internal/external audits.

  • Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
    Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

  • Manages the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensures quality standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administering corrective action for staff.

What we’re looking for 
Applicants should have a PharmD and an active Pharmacist license in the state of OH. Additional requirements include:

  • The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously including task delegating, project oversight, and resource allocation

  • Ability to create, maintain and incorporate simple functions into documents, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations to support business objectives.

  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment
