Director of People & Culture

Department: Human Resources

Status: Full-time

Your Role
The Director of People & Culture is responsible for developing and executing human resource operations in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of Talent Management, Benefits, Rewards and Recognition, inclusive workplace strategies, Retention, HRIS management and analytics. This position will also manage internal communications for HR initiatives and maintain intranet resources.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for executing the initiatives that support the mission and vision of the agency. Create operational vision and direction of the team to ensure department objectives and financial targets are met.
  • Provide overall leadership and guidance to the organization's HR operations, specifically in the areas of recruitment, retention, employee relations, workforce metrics, benefits, and worker's compensation.
  • Collaborate with CHRO to establish the organization's strategic priorities, goals and annual budget; function as strategic advisor regarding key organizational and management issues.
  • Function as a business partner to the management team regarding key organizational and management issues, including restructuring, workforce planning, total rewards, labor and employee relations matters.
  • Support HRIS projects, reporting, and workflow improvements (e.g., automation, digitization)
  • Lead initiatives that contribute to a healthy culture that supports fair and equitable employment practices.
  • Develop recruitment and retention strategies to meet the talent needs of the organization.
  • Promote recognition, employee wellness and safety initiatives that positively impact the overall employee experience.
  • Oversee the enrollment of the agency benefits program including all compliance activities.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of HR processes and systems to ensure every aspect of the employee lifecycle and employee experience is optimized.
  • Develop and review policies and procedures to ensure they align with organizational objectives and ensure compliance with Federal, State and Local laws and regulations.
  • Assist in investigating and resolving all employee and labor relations and compliance issues.
  • Direct plan audits, reporting and regulatory compliance activities.

Qualifications
  • BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university required; MBA or MA/MS in human resources or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 7+ years of HR experience, employee engagement, full-cycle recruitment, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role. Project management and workforce analytics experience required.
  • HRIS proficiency required; Paycor experience preferred
    Strong communication and facilitation skills; able to influence leaders and manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Valid driver's license and documentation of current auto insurance, with an acceptable motor vehicle report.
  • Proficient in the use of computers, software applications, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Pay Range: $88,000 - $95,000 per year
