What You'll Do:
The Director of Outpatient Clinic Services is responsible for the operational and clinical oversight of multi-site outpatient clinics and service lines. This role combines clinical expertise as a Registered Nurse with operational leadership to ensure efficient, standardized, and high-quality care delivery across multiple off-site locations.
Working collaboratively with ancillary service leaders, physician leadership, and executive stakeholders, this role provides direction to clinic managers, nursing leaders, and interdisciplinary teams. Reporting to the CNO, the Director is accountable for clinical quality, operational performance, and financial outcomes across the ambulatory clinic network.
Establishes and maintains standardized operational practices across all ambulatory clinics, including development and execution of strategic and tactical plans, effective organizational structures, and clear accountability to achieve performance outcomes.
Oversees clinic financial operations, including billing, revenue cycle performance, and accounts receivable processes, to ensure sound fiscal management aligned with organizational goals. Monitors and reports on financial performance in accordance with corporate standards and ensures compliance with the Business Integrity Plan.
Leads implementation and ongoing support of regulatory compliance programs, including staff education, policy adherence, audit readiness, and maintenance of Joint Commission accreditation standards across all clinic sites.
What We're Looking For:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field required, Master's Degree (MSN, MHA, MBA or related discipline) preferred.
Experience: 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in ambulatory or outpatient healthcare settings. Demonstrated experience managing multi-site clinic operations, including off-site locations. Experience in physician-owned, private practice, and/or hospital-based outpatient environments is strongly preferred. Experience with revenue cycle oversight, budgeting, and financial performance management at the department or service line level. Familiarity with Joint Commission (JACHO) standards, survey readiness, and accreditation processes preferred.
Skills: Strong knowledge of ambulatory clinic workflows, regulatory requirements, and clinical quality metrics. Ability to lead and influence across multiple sites and interdisciplinary teams. Strong operational, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and relationship-building with physicians, staff, and leadership.
Licenses: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Ohio required. Relevant leadership or specialty certification (e.g., NE-BC, CENP, or ambulatory care certification) preferred.
