Full Job Description
Job Summary: Director of Operations will be responsible for leading all activities for Safety, Quality and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (O.E.E.) for operations for all manufacturing facilities achieving P&L targets and organizational development to get Vantage ready for the future.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Leads through Vantage's Core Values for all manufacturing operations.
  • Lead development of annual business plan, identifying key operational activities, priorities, and manufacturing capital expenditures to support capacity planning.
  • Set and manage performance targets for operational KPI's and direct reports.
  • Develop strategies, ROCKS and L10 activities to support P&L performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Direct department(s) to achieve objectives established in the Company's Strategic Plan. Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company's operations.
  • Lead setting and achievement site safety and environmental goals & other requirements as required.
  • Interact regularly with Leadership Team and individual department heads to ensure that company's operational priorities are aligned with total company direction.
  • Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures and present suggestions to C.E.O. or C.O.O. for consideration through Lean techniques.
  • Participate in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals and objectives.
  • Direct and coordinate activities of purchasing, facilities, and production operations in order to achieve organizational goals.
  • Establish business relationships, performs supplier qualification and selection as needed.
  • Oversee materials management, scheduling, production, inventory control, and shipping to support customer requirements and to solve problems should they arise.
  • Fosters ownership within operations and manufacturing associate performance.
  • Execute 2030 target of employer of choice through behavioral initiatives.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong experienced leader in transformative manufacturing management across multiple sites from a reactive to proactive organization.
  • Operates with a high sense of urgency and entrepreneurial methodology consistent with Vantages culture.
  • Demonstrated approach to achieving sustainable results in manufacturing execution during all phases of business cycles (growth, flat and declining cycles).
  • Experience supporting and leading multi-functional teams in both plant and program launches using advanced planning and program management tools to drive projects to closure from an operations perspective.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Science in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering discipline required.
  • Master's Degree in technical or business-related fields preferred.
  • 5+ years in plastics industry required, both injection molding and / or thermoforming.
  • 10+ years in management leading manufacturing facilities required.
  • 10+ years leading Lean Manufacturing principles required.
  • 10+ years driving manufacturing results through strategic direction required.
  • 5+ years leading multi-site manufacturing operations required.
  • 5+ years Tier I-II automotive leadership role strongly preferred.


Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Manufacturing Operations Team direct reports. Production / Plant Manager, Safety, Maintenance, Quality Manager, Scheduling & Purchasing / Supply Chain Teams.


Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to talk or hear.
  • Frequently is required to stand, walk, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms
  • Lift up to 50lbs as needed when appropriate.
