The Director of Operations manages company operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of services, compliance with safety and quality standards, and alignment with company objectives. This leadership role involves managing personnel, budgets, client relationships, and operational workflows to meet performance goals while fostering a culture rooted in our core values of Integrity, Teamwork, and Think Big. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:
  • Direct and oversee company operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and project management.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards, policies, and safety protocols across all operational activities.

Team Management:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Operational Managers.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement development plans to enhance team capabilities.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and collaboration within the district.

Client Relations:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction with services and fostering repeat business.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and managing expectations.
  • Collaborate with the sales department to identify and pursue new business opportunities.

Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cost control and financial performance.
  • Monitor expenses, revenue, and profitability, taking corrective actions as needed to achieve financial targets.
  • Prepare and present financial and operational reports for senior management.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure all operations comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of service delivery.
  • Conduct regular safety and compliance audits to identify and mitigate risks.

Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve district and company goals.

Qualification Requirements

Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in construction service management.
  • 10+ years of proven experience in construction business management.

Licensing & Certifications:
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Industry Experience:
  • Extensive experience in underground utility excavation processes.
  • Extensive Experience in Vertical Rock Drilling and Electrical Civil Support Services including electrical Transmission, Distribution and Substation

Project Management & Organization:
  • Strong project management and organizational skill

Required Skills

Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of operational processes, safety regulations, and project management best practices.
  • Proficiency with ERP software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Interpersonal Skills:
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to dynamic work environments.
