Description

We are actively seeking a dynamic and strategically-minded Director of Operations to oversee our deep drawn metal stamping manufacturing facilities. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for not only driving operational excellence but also developing comprehensive strategies to ensure the highest quality standards, optimize production processes, and significantly enhance operational efficiency across all manufacturing operations.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute long-term operational strategies that align with company goals and promote sustainable growth within the deep drawn metal stamping sector. This includes analyzing market trends and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for expansion and innovation.
• Lead the overall management of manufacturing operations, which encompasses production planning, quality control, supply chain management, and workforce development. Ensure efficient utilization of resources and materials to meet production goals effectively.
• Establish and continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate production efficiency and product quality. Utilize advanced data analytics tools to make informed, data-driven decisions that enhance operational performance and drive improvements in production yields and quality compliance.
• Collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams to spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, such as implementing lean manufacturing practices, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process optimization strategies to streamline operations and reduce waste.
• Ensure strict compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols. Foster a culture of safety and accountability by conducting regular safety audits and promoting best practices.
• Mentor and empower the leadership team within manufacturing, providing them with the tools and resources needed to take ownership of their departments. Facilitate leadership development programs and training to enhance team skills and foster career growth among employees.
• Oversee the preparation and management of operational budgets, effectively allocating resources to maximize productivity while maintaining cost-effective operations. Regularly review financial performance and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and industry stakeholders to enhance collaboration and drive innovation in product development. Engage with partners to negotiate contracts and terms that support operational goals.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is highly preferred.
• A minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in manufacturing operations, specifically in deep drawn metal stamping or a closely related field, with a strong understanding of the complexities involved.
• Proven leadership abilities with a track record of creating and sustaining high-performing teams, driving operational improvements, and managing large-scale manufacturing projects.
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and lean manufacturing methodologies that drive operational efficiency.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, coupled with the ability to navigate and resolve complex operational challenges in a fast-paced environment.
