Full Job Description
Hours: Full-Time

The Director of Operations, Residential and Rehabilitation Services provides administrative, financial, and programmatic oversight to rehabilitation services which include the extended care residential programs and other psychiatric rehabilitation programs.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assures the day-to-day operations of the Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services line are managed in compliance with applicable policies, regulations and generally accepted best practice/evidenced based practice and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Assures that rehabilitation services programs achieve full licensure or accreditation status, as well as receives satisfactory performance reviews on external audits by oversight bodies.
  • Proactively manages risk to consumers of service, employees, and the environment of care through direct consultation, the establishment and adherence to standardized policies and procedures, and hiring qualified staff and monitoring their performance.
  • Works collaboratively with other clinical service line managers and medical staff to identify opportunities for internal collaboration and care coordination in line with St. Luke's strategic initiatives or in response to regional or state health care trends.
  • Participates actively in service area and regional planning meetings focused on the development of community resource and support options for participants with serious mental illnesses and co-occurring substance use disorders. Maintains and improves quality and efficiency of the Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services line.


PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:

Standing and walking six hours per day, up to two hours sitting at a time. Frequently uses fingers for typing, data entry, etc. Frequently uses hands. Occasionally uses upper extremities to lift up to 20 pounds; sometimes heavier. Very often stoops, bends and reaches above shoulder level. Hearing as it relates to normal conversation. Seeing as it relates to general vision, near vision, peripheral vision and visual monotony.

EDUCATION:

A master's degree in the human services field.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible administrative and clinical management experience in the field of mental health.
  • Knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation approach.
  • Knowledge of serious mental illnesses and co-occurring substance use disorders.
