About the Role

As Director of Operations, you will be responsible for leading the performance of a network of dental clinics across the Okanagan area.This is a hands-on, field-based leadership role where you will own performance across business, financial, operational, and patient experience outcomes. You will lead and develop managers, ensuring execution of the operating plan while driving accountability, consistency, and continuous improvement across clinics.

You will partner closely with the Vice President of Operations, Finance, HR, and Clinical teams to translate strategy into execution at the clinic level.

This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in fast-paced, multi-site environments and enjoys being close to the field, solving problems, and directly influencing performance outcomes.

What You'll Do
  • Own performance across profitability, cash flow, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction
  • Lead, coach, and develop managers to execute operational plans and achieve performance targets
  • Maintain strong on-site visibility across clinics within the region
  • Partner with Finance to build, manage, and execute budgets and financial plans
  • Monitor and drive key performance metrics across clinics, ensuring accountability to operational and business KPIs
  • Work closely with Clinical Quality Assurance to ensure compliance and clinical standards are met
  • Collaborate with Business Intelligence teams to track performance trends and translate data into action
  • Drive performance management processes, ensuring issues are addressed proactively and effectively
  • Support talent development, retention, and recruitment efforts in partnership with HR and Talent Acquisition
  • Lead operational communication between clinic teams, managing partners, dentists, and corporate leadership
  • Identify operational gaps and implement solutions to improve efficiency, profitability, and patient experience
  • Ensure consistent execution of company policies, SOPs, and operational standards across the region
  • Support HR-related matters in alignment with company policies and culture
  • Act as the key liaison between field operations and executive leadership

What You Bring
  • 8+ years of progressive operations experience in a multi-site environment
  • 3+ years in a senior leadership or director-level role
  • Experience managing multi-unit operations (healthcare, dental, retail, franchise, or similar environment preferred)
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and driving operational performance
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing field leadership teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and relationship management abilities
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing, and growth-oriented environment
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and operational discipline
