Full Job Description
Director of Operations
Supervisor: CEO

Summary:
Lead operations in achieving the objectives as it relates to the physical processing of corn into
value-added commodities. In conjunction with Leadership Team, develop strategic plan for department
that aligns with goals of the company. Keep CEO, CFO and Director of Commodities apprised of plant
operations and their impact on daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual forecast. As a member of the
Leadership Team, collaborate, communicate, and coordinate with fellow team members to the
betterment of the company.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Exemplify core values. (Curious grower, Optimistically honest, Hardworking, Organized)
2. Develop processes, policies, and programs that provide results enabling company to achieve upper
quartile performance of our peer group.
3. Develop, procure, and utilize tools to facilitate data driven decision making.
4. Lead, direct and coach the plant manager, innovation manager, engineering manager, and
safety manager.
5. In collaboration with plant manager, optimize team structure, define roles/responsibilities, and
create a culture of accountability. Assist with evaluation of ingredients, new processes, and
existing procedures.
6. Provide initial review, feedback, and direction to initiatives and opportunities brought forward
from innovation manager.
7. Support and guide the safety manager to maintain and enhance our "safety first" mindset.
8. Evaluate and prioritize projects in conjunction with the engineering manager to provide company
with the best return on capital and advancement towards company objectives.
9. Critically review performance against planned expectation. Adjust and adapt as needed.
Regularly report findings to CEO and, as requested, board of directors.
10. Participate in Leadership Team meetings, board meetings, and company planning functions.
