Full Job Description
ConnextCare is seeking an experienced and collaborative Director of Operations to join our leadership team.

The Director of Operations is responsible for providing overall management and operational oversight of ConnextCare's health center activities, helping to ensure efficient operations and the delivery of high-quality, patient-focused health care services throughout the communities we serve. Working closely with the President/Chief Executive Officer, leadership team, and Board of Directors, the Director of Operations will support organizational performance, operational efficiency, quality improvement, and long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide oversight of day-to-day operations across various organizational departments and functions.
  • Foster collaboration among departments, leadership, providers, and staff to improve operational performance and patient outcomes.
  • Support workforce planning, staffing decisions, and organizational resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives designed to improve quality of care, enhance revenue opportunities, and achieve organizational goals.
  • Analyze budgets and financial data to identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost savings.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of ConnextCare's mission, vision, and values.
  • Oversee capital projects, including applicable NYSDOH Certificate of Need processes.
  • Provide training and operational support for system implementations designed to improve provider and staff efficiency.
  • Provide facilities oversight to help ensure safe and accessible buildings and grounds for patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Lead special initiatives as requested by the President/CEO, including participation on Board committees.
  • Serve as a representative and liaison between ConnextCare and community partners, supporting coordinated efforts to improve population health outcomes.
  • Support grant program compliance, including reporting requirements and oversight of program deliverables and outcomes.
  • Monitor provider schedules and productivity to ensure alignment with organizational goals and Coleman initiatives.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels and promote the knowledge, expectations, engagement, and accountability necessary to meet organizational requirements.
  • Develop and monitor operational performance measures and dashboards to provide leadership with meaningful, high-level key performance indicators.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as Joint Commission standards.
  • Evaluate and respond to the health care needs and overall well-being of the populations served.
  • Promote Patient-Centered Medical Home initiatives.
  • Assist with and promote organizational processes associated with the Coleman initiative.


Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Graduate education in administration, public health, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA, MHA/MHP, MPA, MPH, or similar advanced degree preferred.
  • Five years of equivalent administrative experience in a health care setting highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to foster a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative and strategic approach to organizational growth and operational improvement.
  • General knowledge of finance, fundraising, grant writing, personnel management, and public relations.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, discretion, and confidentiality.
