Sunrise Skilled Nursing & Rehab is seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated nursing leader who is passionate about patient care, team development, and creating a positive impact within a skilled nursing environment.

As the Director of Nursing, you will play a vital role in overseeing nursing operations, supporting clinical excellence, and ensuring residents receive high-quality, patient-centered care every day.
Your Role as Director of Nursing

As a key member of the Sunrise leadership team, you will oversee nursing operations and support the facility's mission of providing compassionate, high-quality care.
Responsibilities Include:

• Leading, mentoring, and supporting nursing staff
• Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
• Managing patient records and maintaining confidentiality standards
• Collaborating with physicians, residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Assisting with care planning and resident assessments
• Developing and implementing quality assurance and risk management programs
• Training and onboarding nursing staff while supporting ongoing education
• Conducting daily rounds and monitoring quality of care and staff performance
• Supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives
• Promoting a positive, patient-centered culture throughout the facility

Who We're Looking For:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Previous nursing leadership experience preferred, especially in long-term care or skilled nursing
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and clinical best practices
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented leadership style
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Passion for delivering genuine hometown care and supporting staff development
