Position Summary

The Director of Nursing (DON) provides strategic leadership, direction, and oversight of all nursing operations within the inpatient behavioral health hospital. The DON is responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, effective, trauma-informed, patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation standards. This position oversees nursing practice, staffing, education, quality improvement, infection prevention, competency management, and professional development initiatives to promote excellence in clinical care and employee engagement.

The DON serves as a member of the executive leadership team and collaborates with medical staff, clinical leadership, ancillary departments, and community partners to ensure exceptional patient outcomes and organizational success.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Licensure
  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.

Certification
  • BLS within first week of hire
