Lead clinical care at Thorne Crest: $99,000-$116,000/year, with a full-time Monday-Friday schedule and on-call responsibility every other week.
What You'll Do:- Oversee the daily clinical and administrative operations of the nursing department
- Lead nursing staff and nurse managers in delivering high-quality resident care
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives
- Manage staffing levels, performance management, training, delegation, and staff development
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and licensing requirements
- Monitor quality of care and develop plans of correction when needed
- Collaborate with physicians, medical professionals, residents, families, and other healthcare organizations
- Manage nursing department resources, including medications, medical supplies, equipment, and inventory
- Prepare and manage the nursing department's annual budget
- Support residents' comfort, privacy, dignity, and overall well-being
- Provide clinical guidance and participate in direct resident care during emergencies or as needed
- Maintain readiness for annual state and federal inspections
What You'll Need (Required):- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state(s) in which you practice
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in nursing
- At least 1 year of experience in gerontological nursing, rehabilitative, and restorative clinical practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of nursing and medical practices, regulations, and guidelines related to skilled nursing facilities
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to effectively communicate with residents, families, staff, and other customers
Preferred:- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
- 2+ years of experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) or Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
- Experience in healthcare management and operations, quality management, staff development, and resident and family support
Schedule:Full-time, Monday-Friday:
- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- On-call every other week
