The Director, RN Residency Program provides strategic, operational, educational, and fiscal leadership for the organization's American Nursing Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Practice Transition Accreditation Program (PTAP) accredited or accreditation-seeking RN Residency Program. The Director is accountable for the development, design, implementation, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the residency program and serves as the organization's designated Program Director for ANCC PTAP accreditation.
The Director ensures the successful transition of newly licensed registered nurses into professional practice through a structured residency experience that includes organizational orientation, competency-based learning, professional development, mentor-ship, preceptorship, and practice-based learning. The position collaborates with executive leadership, educators, managers, preceptors, academic partners, and interdisciplinary stakeholders to promote nursing competency, retention, workforce development, and nursing excellence.
The Director serves as the primary liaison with ANCC PTAP and is accountable for maintaining accreditation standards, demonstrating program outcomes, and supporting organizational strategic goals.
