Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Ohio, in good standing.
• Ability to pass a background check and physical examination.
• Experience in a nursing manager role, preferably in a skilled nursing facility.
• Previous experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate responsibility, accountability, and dependability consistently.
• Establish communication lines with other departments for collaboration.
• Act as a liaison among residents' physicians, families, and nursing staff.
• Develop objectives and standards of practice for nursing personnel.
• Direct and supervise all resident care, initiating corrective actions when necessary.
• Oversee MDS implementation and health-related evaluations for reimbursement.
• Assess pre-admission and admission information to determine appropriate care levels.
• Lead the development and execution of nursing rehabilitation programs.
• Analyze Quality Indicator reports to identify issues and implement corrective actions.
• Manage nursing service problems and emergency situations effectively.
