Director of Nursing (RN) | Skilled Nursing Facility

Evergreen Commons Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking an experienced, motivated, and resident-focused Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing team. As the clinical leader of our 242-bed skilled nursing facility, you will oversee nursing operations for both short-term rehabilitation and long-term care while fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and compassionate care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight of all nursing services and clinical operations.
  • Direct, organize, and evaluate resident care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations.
  • Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives, audits, and corrective action plans.
  • Maintain survey readiness and support successful Department of Health surveys.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop nursing leaders and staff while promoting accountability and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional resident outcomes.
  • Oversee and partner with two Assistant Directors of Nursing (ADONs) to support daily clinical operations.
  • Promote a positive, resident-centered culture focused on quality care and customer service.

Qualifications

  • At least two (2) years of progressive nursing leadership or nursing administration experience.
