DON - Director of Nursing - RN - Registered Nurse.- $130K to $140K annually.
- 10-minute commute from Cincinnati
Director of Nursing - DON RN - Registered Nurse Mission Commitment:To provide holistic care to the aged and infirm in an atmosphere of Christian understanding.
Director of Nursing - DON RN - Registered Nurse Qualifications:- Graduate of an approved School of Nursing with a current KY license as a Registered Nurse - RN.
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience as a Director of Nursing.
- Minimum of five (5) years' experience in Long-Term Care.
- Excellent Nursing skills and understanding of interactions with other health care providers.
- Good interpersonal skills and able to deal tactfully with all.
- Knowledge of State, Federal and Health Code regulations, including labor laws.
- Knowledge of MDS and PRIs; Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs).
- Read, write, and speak English fluently.
Director of Nursing - DON RN - Registered Nurse Job Summary:- Responsible for the development of nursing service objectives and performance standards.
- Responsible for nursing service compliance to federal, state and local regulations.
- Direct, evaluate and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.
- Assess resident care needs and assist in the development of individualized plans of resident care.
- Report problems to Administrator, Medical Director and conduct daily resident rounds.
- Direct and supervise scheduling of employees.
- Assist in recruiting, conduct counseling interviews and initiate disciplinary action as necessary.
- Prepare written employee performance evaluations and recommend pay, role and other HR changes.
- Direct and implement nursing service educational programs.
- Participate in the planning and implementation of the nursing service budget.
- Direct allocation of nursing service equipment and supplies.
- Take inquiries for resident placement as assigned by the Admissions Office.
- Coordinate resident admissions, transfers and discharges.
- Assess resident responses to medications and treatments and make appropriate recommendations.
