Director of Nursing (DON) - Lead the Way in Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Care

As a Director of Nursing (DON), you will have the opportunity to lead a team of dedicated healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality care to our patients. Located in Chicago, Illinois, we are a Joint Commission Approved facility committed to providing the highest level of service.

About the Role:

As a Director of Nursing (DON), you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing effective care plans, managing patient flow, and Leading a team of skilled nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality care, ensuring that patients receive the best possible outcomes
  • Manage patient flow, ensuring that patients receive timely and efficient care
  • Lead a team of skilled nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate with the medical director and other interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Ensure proper staffing on the floors and provide direct care, as needed
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Administrator

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior management role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and patients
  • Ability to develop and implement effective care plans, with a focus on patient-centered care

  • Unencumbered Registered Nursing License in the State of Illinois
