Full-Time Director of Nursing (DON/RN) to lead the nursing department at our
90-bed skilled nursing facility in Athens, PA.
Responsibilities- Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Services Department
- Audit nursing documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and support high-quality, holistic resident care
- Make daily rounds to observe and assess the care provided to residents
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to promote positive resident outcomes
- Maintain infection control practices and documentation for staff and residents
- Ensure required education and training are provided in collaboration with the management team
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to the nursing team
- Promote compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and facility policies
Qualifications- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous supervisory or nursing leadership experience in a long-term care setting required
- Experience working with the geriatric population in a long-term care environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Commitment to quality resident care and regulatory compliance
