Director of Marketing to lead the sales and marketing strategy for a key product group -
Stainless and Aluminum.
This is a highly visible role for someone who understands the market, knows how to build strong customer and vendor relationships, and can identify opportunities that increase both
sales and profitability. You'll work closely with branch sales teams, product specialists, and Corporate Purchasing to strengthen our market position and drive continued growth.
What You'll Do- Lead and coordinate major quotation opportunities for the assigned product group.
- Stay ahead of market developments, pricing trends, supply conditions, and other factors impacting the business.
- Maintain regular communication with customers and vendors regarding current market conditions.
- Lead monthly product specialist meetings to discuss trends, opportunities, challenges, and strategy.
- Conduct sales calls with key customers and targeted prospective accounts.
- Partner with Purchasing to help maintain accurate and competitive replacement costs.
- Identify industries, markets, and customers that offer strong potential for sales and margin growth.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and vendor partners.
- Recruit, develop, and oversee Product Specialists.
- Represent CTI at trade shows and industry events as needed.
- Help shape product strategy by identifying new accounts, sourcing opportunities, and areas for expansion.
What We're Looking For- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 3-5+ years of relevant industry or business experience.
- Strong understanding of sales, marketing, customer development, and market conditions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to build lasting customer and vendor relationships.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Ability to travel as needed for customer visits, vendor meetings, and industry events.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding customer-specific and business information.
