Summary/Objective

The Director of Marketing leads the execution of Housing Assistance's marketing plan through brand management, integrated campaign planning, graphic design, and multi-channel marketing. Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer, this role develops and implements initiatives that increase awareness, engagement, and support for the organization's programs, services, advocacy efforts, and fundraising priorities.

Responsible for campaign execution, digital marketing, audience growth, social media, and creative development, the Director manages outreach across web, social media, advertising, email, print, and other promotional channels. This position works in close partnership with the Vice President of Communications, who leads organizational messaging, communications strategy, media relations, storytelling, and content development, ensuring alignment between marketing initiatives and Housing Assistance's voice, brand, and strategic priorities.

Essential Functions

Brand Management
  • Maintain Housing Assistance's visual identity and brand standards across all marketing materials, campaigns, and channels, ensuring a consistent and cohesive brand.
  • Partner with the Chief Advancement Officer and external consultants to strengthen, evolve, and steward Housing Assistance's brand strategy and market position.

Marketing Campaigns & Content Production
  • Lead the planning, management, and execution of Housing Assistance's integrated marketing calendar and multi-channel campaigns to support fundraising, program awareness, community engagement, events, and organizational priorities.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic content calendar that coordinates marketing activities across digital and print channels.
  • Lead the design and production of print and digital marketing materials that support organizational goals and uphold brand standards.
  • Create and oversee the production of marketing materials, including newsletters, social media campaigns, advertising, event promotions, and other promotional collateral.
  • Coordinate the development of video, photography, and multimedia content to enhance storytelling, audience engagement, and brand visibility.

Graphic Design & Social Media
  • Lead the visual design and production of marketing materials across digital and print platforms.
  • Create and oversee the development of high-quality graphics, advertisements, reports, presentations, event materials, publications, and fundraising collateral.
  • Manage Housing Assistance's social media presence across all platforms, including content planning, creative development, publishing, community engagement, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop and execute social media campaigns that increase awareness, engagement, audience growth, advocacy, and fundraising outcomes.
  • Translate organizational messaging and campaign objectives into compelling visual and social media content.
  • Monitor social media trends, platform updates, and emerging best practices to maximize reach, engagement, and brand visibility.


Digital & Channel Management
  • Oversee website strategy, content, user experience, and SEO to maximize visibility, engagement, and conversion.
  • Manage email marketing strategy, audience segmentation, automation, and performance tracking.
  • Ensure marketing channels are optimized and integrated to deliver a consistent and effective audience experience.

Analytics, Performance Tracking & Technology
  • Track and report on KPIs across marketing channels, campaigns, and audience engagement efforts.
  • Use data, audience insights, and industry best practices to continuously optimize strategies and improve outcomes.
  • Leverage marketing technology, CRM data, and reporting tools to strengthen audience targeting, segmentation, automation, and campaign performance.


Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with and receive strategic guidance from the Vice President of Communications to ensure marketing efforts support organizational messaging, communications strategy, and strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with Philanthropy, Programs, Community Engagement, and Events teams to support organizational goals and maximize campaign effectiveness.
  • Manage and coordinate external vendors, consultants, freelancers, and creative partners as needed.


Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience
  • 5-7+ years of marketing experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, email, social media, and web platforms.
  • Strong graphic design and visual communication skills, with experience creating marketing materials for digital and print channels.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing social media strategies that drive audience growth, engagement, and organizational visibility.
  • Strong written communication and content development skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for marketing channels and diverse audiences.
  • Experience developing and managing editorial, content, and marketing calendars.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with marketing and design platforms such as Constant Contact, WordPress, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and social media management tools.
  • Strong technical proficiency, including Microsoft Office, CRM systems, email marketing platforms, analytics tools, and other marketing technologies.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data and performance metrics to inform strategy and improve outcomes.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, detail-oriented, and strategic in approach.
  • Experience in housing, community development, or human services is preferred.
  • Valid Massachusetts driver's license.

Work Environment
  • The functions of this role are conducted in an office setting at Housing Assistance's headquarters located at 255 Independence Ave, Hyannis, MA 02601.

Hours of Work
  • This role is paid on a salaried basis.
  • Typically, full-time salaried employees work 35 hours during a Monday through Friday work week. However, this is a salaried position. Therefore, the individual is expected to work as required to complete the duties of the position. This may mean hours beyond 35 per week are required.
