What the Role is Quacked Up to Be

Reporting to our VP of Sales, Marketing & Revenue you will be our driving force for defining and executing strategic marketing plans. You will work closely with your marketing team to oversee integrated campaigns, brand stewardship and all communications. You will partner with the Wolfpack (this is what we call our Sales team), Revenue, Operations, Finance, and P&C to align Marketing initiatives with overall objectives. You will oversee campaign performance, measurement and reporting while fostering a culture of collaboration, learning and celebration.

In your first 3 months, you will...

  • Work closely with Rachel, our VP of Sales, Marketing & Revenue, to understand the current state of our Marketing programs and strategic vision

  • Meet your team of Marketing pros, spend time building relationships and having fun with your team to understand better who they are and what they need from you as a leader

  • Have dedicated time to learn and practice our Leading with Love philosophy and begin to have a deep understanding of how to lead at Accent Inns

  • Learn about our feedback, coaching, and mentor programs at Accent Inns and begin to use them with your teams

  • Meet 1-on-1 with your fellow directors and the regional managers to better understand their roles and departments, and learn how their teams have historically used Marketing initiatives and gather any feedback

  • Review competitor landscapes and guest feedback to gain an understanding of our guest profiles and needs

  • Start travelling to our various properties to get to know all three brands, their locations and their features

  • Run through all Marketing, Sales & Revenue programs and the current roadmap to identify our needs and priorities for the future

In your first 12 months, you will...

  • Have established a strong and trusting relationship with your team and developed career progression plans for each of them; setting priorities and delegating responsibilities to maximize impact and cross-skill development

  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative culture that encourages empowerment, experimentation, professional growth, and recognition

  • Have worked on defining the annual and multi-year marketing strategy tied to company goals

  • Have established strong relationships with your stakeholders (Wolfpack, Revenue, Operations, Finance, and P&C); to align campaigns with demand generation, awareness initiatives and customer programs

  • Have owned brand strategy, voice, visual identity, and positioning; ensuring consistent application across all touchpoints

  • Led ideation, planning, execution, and optimization of integrated campaigns across all channels

  • Overseen campaign timelines, creative briefs, activation plans, and go-to-market execution

  • Analyzed campaign performance and audience insights to drive continuous optimization and inform strategy; recommending next steps

  • Overseen external communications and PR strategy to raise visibility, credibility, and thought leadership

  • Worked closely with the Care Bears (our executive leadership team) on executive presentations, speeches and external messaging

  • Established regular reporting cadence for team, cross-functional stakeholders, and Care Bears to communicate progress and outcomes

This exciting role will be a key contributor to shaping and reinforcing our culture of collaboration, learning, and celebration. This role partners closely with multiple departments across all business functions and properties, shaping how our brands evolve at Accent Inns/Hotel Zed/ROAR. Communication, alignment and developing close relationships with key stakeholders will be key in ensuring the success of this role. You will spend 25% of your time travelling to our various locations throughout the year to have on-site presence.
