The Director of Market Engagement Operations provides operational leadership and organizational support to the Vice President for Strategic Market Engagement. This role is responsible for ensuring that market engagement priorities are well-coordinated, effectively executed, and aligned across internal teams and external stakeholders.
Serving as a central point of coordination, the Director translates strategic priorities into actionable plans, manages workflows and communications, and ensures consistent follow-through on key initiatives. The role plays a critical part in business development through maintaining efficiency, alignment, and accountability across market engagement activities, enabling the function to operate with clarity and discipline in support of United Educators' growth and member engagement objectives.
RESPONSIBILTIES:Operational Leadership & Priority Management- Support the Vice President in organizing, prioritizing, and advancing key initiatives and commitments.
- Translate strategic priorities into clear workplans, timelines, and actionable next steps.
- Maintain visibility into active initiatives and ensure alignment with departmental and enterprise goals.
- Identify risks, competing priorities, and gaps, and recommend adjustments to maintain progress.
Meeting & Communication Coordination - Plan and coordinate internal and external meetings, including agendas, materials, and logistics.
- Ensure meetings are well-structured, with clear objectives and outcomes.
- Document key decisions and action items and ensure timely follow-up with stakeholders.
- Draft and coordinate presentations, reports, and communications.
Project & Initiative Coordination - Coordinate execution of cross-functional initiatives related to market engagement and growth.
- Develop and maintain project trackers, timelines, and status updates.
- Monitor progress and follow up with stakeholders to ensure accountability and timely delivery.
- Support organization of working groups and strategic initiatives.
Cross-Functional Alignment - Serve as a central coordination point across Programs, Underwriting, Resolutions, Risk, Finance, and Communications.
- Facilitate effective information sharing and alignment on priorities and deliverables.
- Consolidate inputs into cohesive materials for leadership review.
- Ensure leadership is informed of key updates, risks, and decisions.
Market Intelligence & Reporting Support - Coordinate inputs and processes supporting market intelligence and reporting activities.
- Assist in preparing recurring reports, including executive and quarterly updates.
- Maintain organized systems for research, data, and reporting materials.
- Track and monitor key performance indicators related to market engagement efforts.
- This position requires adherence to United Educators' cybersecurity policies and industry best practices to protect company and member data. Employees must incorporate security-conscious practices appropriate to their role into daily work and complete required security training.
External Engagement Support - Coordinate logistics and preparation for broker, partner, and stakeholder engagements.
- Develop briefing materials and support external meeting readiness.
- Track follow-ups, commitments, and relationship management activities.
- Support planning and execution of external forums and events.
Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency - Establish and maintain systems for tracking priorities, communications, and deliverables.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve coordination.
- Support planning, documentation, and organization of team activities.
- Promote consistency, organization, and operational discipline across the function.
REQUIREMENTS:- Bachelor's degree required, degree in business, management, communications, or a related field preferred
- Typically requires eight (8) years of relevant experience in operations, project coordination, business operations, or executive support within a complex, cross-functional environment
- Experience supporting senior leaders or executives, with demonstrated ability to manage priorities, coordinate activities, and ensure follow-through on key initiatives
- Proven experience managing multiple projects or initiatives simultaneously, including tracking timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder inputs
- Experience working across departments and coordinating with diverse stakeholders to drive alignment and execution
- Strong experience preparing executive-level materials, including presentations, reports, and communications
- Experience in insurance, financial services or higher education preferred
The below annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
Salary Range
$145,000-$175,000 USD
