Director of Maintenance

Responsibilities:
  • Establish a routine preventive maintenance program for all physical plant and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all Life Safety guidelines
  • Perform repairs and maintenance to major building systems
  • Perform repairs and maintenance to cosmetic building facets
  • Maintain the grounds (we perform this in-house)
  • Schedule and oversee outside contractors
  • Hands on knowledge and experience with maintenance tools and equipment
  • Oversee the housekeeping and laundry departments
  • Must have the ability to handle a physical workload

Qualifications:
  • Experience in long term care and/or sub-acute setting preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to maintain records and complete reports as required, including web-based reporting
  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interact positively with residents, other personnel and the public
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
  • Ability to work effectively with a team
  • Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort
  • People management and staff development
  • Bi-lingual, English & Spanish preferred
