Responsibilities:- Establish a routine preventive maintenance program for all physical plant and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all Life Safety guidelines
- Perform repairs and maintenance to major building systems
- Perform repairs and maintenance to cosmetic building facets
- Maintain the grounds (we perform this in-house)
- Schedule and oversee outside contractors
- Hands on knowledge and experience with maintenance tools and equipment
- Oversee the housekeeping and laundry departments
- Must have the ability to handle a physical workload
Qualifications:- Experience in long term care and/or sub-acute setting preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to maintain records and complete reports as required, including web-based reporting
- Written and oral communication skills
- Ability to interact positively with residents, other personnel and the public
- Good communication, interpersonal skills organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work effectively with a team
- Ability to work independently as needed to support the group effort
- People management and staff development
- Bi-lingual, English & Spanish preferred
