Overview

Responsible for the planning and execution of repairs, preventative maintenance and upkeep of company property along with the planning and execution of all new capital construction including, but not all inclusive of: new rides, attractions, buildings, facades, areas, etc. Work with the Park President to establish clear guidelines including timeslines while reducing expenses including budget expectations.

Responsibilities

Job Duties
  • Oversees the theme park's rides and facility maintenance, as well as construction process to ensure the safety of our Team Members and Guests. Schedules & prioritize work and projects, place vendor bids for materials, select vendors and prepare requisitions. Estimate job costs for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
  • Generates and analyzes financial reports related to budgets and operations on an on-going basis, regarding performance of facility maintenance, capital improvement projects, and other services provided to the theme park's operations, and maintains full P&L responsbility.
  • Act as liasion with state and local officials having regulatory oversight and inspection responsibilities
  • Ensures that Team Members are properly trained on safe and appropriate techniques and craftsmanship to ensure the productive use of time and equipment and that jobs are completed properly.
  • Oversees managers, superviors and staff to ensure that work is scheduled appropriately to completion.
  • Participates in planning and development of future rides, attractions, facility improvement and equipment
  • Prepares and administer both operating and capital budgets. Audit and control expenses in all areas
  • Acts as liaison with corporate maintenance & engineering staffs
  • Effectively communicate with all other theme park divisions and operating departments
  • Oversees and participates with the review and update of departmental documentation including requisitions, purchase orders, timecards, schedules, records, accident reports, ride documentation, etc.
  • Interview, select and hire new Maintenance department Team Members when needed
  • Develops and implements departmental policies and procedures
  • Works on a rotational basis as a theme park duty manager
  • As needed, assist crews with daily tasks
  • Other duties as requested or required


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10 years of experience in rides and facility maintenance management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with computer proficiency
  • Superb knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or Maximo
  • Ability to plan, and effectively assign, train, appraise, lead and direct Team Members
  • History of on-time and on-budget project performance
  • Proven track record of a commitment to a safe work environment
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies and related rules and regulations
  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of the operation of hand and power tools, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and systems, gear drive motion control systems, heavy equipment, etc. Capable to train others on the safe and proficient usage of equipment
