Qualifications

• Associates degree in Engineering with at least three years' supervisory experience in maintenance.
• Preferred background in health care settings.
• Knowledge of low-pressure steam boilers, compressors, generators, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, and HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and implementation of the maintenance department's policies and procedures.
• Ensure plant and equipment are maintained for resident comfort and convenience.
• Manage staffing, training, and evaluation of department personnel.
• Review and recommend updates to department policies and manuals annually.
• Conduct regular inspections of the facility for upkeep.
• Develop a preventive maintenance program for all facility equipment.
• Establish priority systems for managing unscheduled maintenance.
• Ensure heating and cooling systems are maintained per manufacturer specifications.
