Full Job Description
Maintenance Director

We are seeking to fill the position of Director of Maintenance.

  • $85,000 to $110,000 annually based on skills and experience.


Director of Maintenance Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Engineering and a minimum of three (3) years' experience in a supervisory capacity in a maintenance related position.
  • Health care experienced is preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge in the function of low-pressure steam boilers, compressors, generators, fire alarm and sprinkler systems, etc. as well as various H.V.A.C., electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints is required.


Director of Maintenance Job Summary:

  • Assist in the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing of the maintenance department, including department policies, procedures and job descriptions to assure that the maintenance of the premises, facility and equipment, is current at all times.
  • Assure that the plant and equipment is properly maintained for the resident's comfort and convenience.
  • Manage staffing, training, evaluation and work of department personnel.
  • Review department policies, procedures, manuals, job descriptions at least annually and make recommended changes.
  • Inspect the facility on a regular basis to ensure that the grounds, facility and equipment are maintained.
  • Establish an effective preventive maintenance program of cleaning, painting, maintaining facility equipment.
  • Establish a priority system on unscheduled maintenance.
  • Maintain the heating and cooling units/systems in proper working condition as specified by the manufacturer.
