As a full-time Director, Logistics at SIXT, you will lead the strategy and execution of transportation logistics and impound recovery across North America, overseeing one of the company's largest operational cost centers. You will drive transportation efficiency, reduce fleet downtime, optimize vendor performance, and establish scalable processes that directly improve profitability. YOUR ROLE AT SIXT • You support the operational success of North America's transportation logistics and impound recovery programs by driving continuous improvement across vehicle movement, vendor performance, and recovery processes • You manage transportation operations, impound recovery activities, annual logistics spend exceeding $10 million, key operational metrics, and a team responsible for logistics execution across the United States and Canada • You liaise with Fleet Operations, Roadside Assistance, Procurement, Accounting, Controlling, external transportation providers, towing partners, and executive leadership to optimize service levels and reduce costs • You maintain transportation SOPs, vendor relationships, performance dashboards, logistics reporting, NUT ownership for the U.S. and Canada, and initiatives that improve transport time and impound recovery performance • You receive and analyze operational data, vendor performance metrics, transportation costs, and recovery trends to identify opportunities for process improvements and financial savings • You assist senior leadership with strategic initiatives, contract negotiations, budget planning, continuous improvement projects, and operational decisions that support SIXT's long-term fleet strategy YOUR SKILLS MATTER • Experience You have 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in logistics, transportation, fleet operations, supply chain, or automotive operations, including managing large operational budgets and cross-functional teams • Education You have a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field and are authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship • Technical Proficiency You are proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel, and have experience working with transportation management systems, operational reporting tools, and data analysis • Soft Skills You demonstrate exceptional leadership, vendor management, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment • Commitment to Excellence You are results-driven, continuously seek operational improvements, take ownership of business outcomes, and use data to drive strategic decisions that improve efficiency and profitability • Travel You are flexible and willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% WHAT WE OFFER • Comprehensive Health Insurance / Paid Time Off & Sick Leave Access healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision), life insurance, critical illness, hospital indemnity, pet insurance, and a 401k retirement plan.
