DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
JOB DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBLE TO: CEO
POSITION PURPOSE: The Director of Information Technology plays a key role in the business' overall success and growth by leading the IT and Technical Operations Department's provision of effective, agile, innovative and value-enhancing "best-in-class" solutions, by serving as an effective liaison between the IT team and the rest of the organization so that business requirements are constantly met, and by managing the design, development and stability of the Microsoft AX platform, as well as the rest of the IT Platform.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Leads all information systems and technical operations efforts for the company, ensuring that the systems are stable, agile and capable of accommodating and enhancing current and future business needs.
- Acts as the primary contact for the business and domain expert in Microsoft AX.
- Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Suggests and leads implementation of technology, systems and processes that would provide "best-in-class" customers value, drive revenue and/or enhance efficiencies.
- Leads automation efforts in the organization, including financial and warehouse.
- Ensures that all reporting needs for all departments are provided, including for finance, sales and operations.
- Maps technical and functional capabilities of Microsoft AX to business needs to achieve identified program benefits.
- Plans and update the IT Landscape based on evolving business requirements.
- Coordinates customer onboarding initiatives, including reporting and connectivity.
- Participates in RFP preparations for potential customers.
- Effectively leads, maximizes, develops, hires and bonds a team of a developer and technical operations specialists located in Chicago and outside the United States.
- Manage vendor relationships.
- Develops and manages the organization's IT CapEx and OpEx budgets.
QUALIFICATIONSEducation/Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Equivalent preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft AX / D365 F&O / ERP platforms.
- Experience with Distribution business models is preferred.
- ITSM experience is a plus.

II.Technical Requirements - Computer Skills - Possess or develop sufficient skills and knowledge of computer system to investigate problems and generate reports.
