Director of IT Operations and SecurityVecna Robotics seeks an experienced Director of IT Operations and Security to lead our information technology operations. This pivotal role will ensure seamless internal and external networking, robust IT infrastructure, and integration of software deployment processes. As a player/coach, the Director of IT Operations and Security will balance strategic oversight with hands-on management to drive operational excellence.
The ideal candidate will be adept at managing complex IT environments, has strong leadership skills, extensive experience in IT infrastructure and networking, and a proven track record of managing vendor relationships.
Reporting to the COO, the Director of IT Operations and Security is a fulltime, salaried role based in Waltham, MA. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
In this role the Director of IT Operations and Security will oversee:- IT Strategy and Leadership:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the company's roadmap and business goals.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure smooth integration of IT services with product components.
- Vendor Management: Select and manage relationships with outsourced vendors to maintain service quality and operational efficiency.
- Networking and Infrastructure:
- Manage internal network operations and external network integrations, ensuring robust and secure connectivity.
- Oversee necessary and critical infrastructure upgrades, collaborating with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to design, configure, manage, and support cloud computing infrastructure.
- Monitor network performance, integrity, and security; suggest and implement improvements to enhance performance, capacity, and scalability.
- Software Deployment Integration:
- Lead teams in deploying, managing, and upgrading customer facing systems and services.
- Support activities, as needed, related to software deployment for seamless integration of product software and IT infrastructure.
- IT Operations and Support:
- Provide final tier of support for internal IT issues, collaborating with MSPs for troubleshooting and resolution.
- Ensure compliance with security and business continuity best practices.
- Maintain supporting documentation for IT systems, hardware, and software configurations.
What we are looking for:- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field; master's degree preferred.
- 7-10 years proven experience in IT leadership roles within technology-driven companies.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT people management
- Strong background in network architecture, IT infrastructure management, and cloud services.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with experience managing cloud vendors.
- Expertise in network troubleshooting, Linux systems administration, and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and protocols.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to lead in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- CISSP, CCNP, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect certifications, preferred.
Pay Range: $156,000 - $224,250 per year
