Job DescriptionSandisk is seeking a seasoned and strategic
Director of International Benefits to lead the design, development, and execution of our international benefits strategy. This role is a key member of the Total Rewards leadership team, responsible for delivering competitive, scalable, and compliant benefits programs across all regions outside of the United States, with a strong emphasis on APAC markets.
Reporting to the Vice President of Total Rewards, this leader will partner closely with the Director of U.S. Benefits, regional Total Rewards teams, People Operations, HR Business Partners, Payroll, Legal, and external vendors to ensure a consistent, high-quality employee experience worldwide, including with respect to a sizable APAC employee population. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in global benefits strategy and administration at scale, with deep expertise across health and welfare, retirement, leave of absence, wellbeing, governance, and compliance. Ideal candidate will be on-site in San Jose a few days per week.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Define and lead the international benefits strategy, ensuring alignment with Sandisk's business priorities, talent strategy, and regional market competitiveness across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. Closely collaborate with the U.S. Benefits Director to ensure a cohesive benefits strategy globally.
- Drive the design, implementation, and optimization of benefits programs, including health and welfare, retirement, and wellbeing initiatives, tailored to diverse regional needs and regulatory environments.
- Provide strategic guidance to regional Total Rewards leaders and HR partners.
- Scale and streamline global benefits operations to improve efficiency, enhance employee experience, and ensure consistent execution across geographies.
- Lead benefits strategy for international markets, ensuring compliance with local regulations while maintaining global consistency where appropriate.
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting to measure program effectiveness and inform decision-making.
- Partner with external brokers, consultants, insurers, and legal counsel to ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and optimize vendor performance.
- Develop and execute a global communications strategy to improve employee awareness, understanding, and utilization of benefits offerings.
- Drive continuous improvement through market benchmarking, industry insights, and innovation in benefits design and delivery.
- Lead the integration and optimization of benefits technology platforms, including HRIS and vendor systems (e.g., Workday), to support scalability and data-driven insights.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and organizational transformations by assessing and integrating benefits programs across regions.
QualificationsREQUIRED:
- Minimum of 12+ years of progressive experience in benefits design and international total rewards, ideally within a complex, multinational organization.
- Proven executive-level leadership experience influencing across a global, matrixed organization, with strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Deep expertise in international benefits design and administration, including significant experience supporting APAC regions. Experience with APAC manufacturing environment a plus.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align benefits strategy to organizational goals and workforce needs.
- Demonstrated ability to partner cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Legal, Communications, and external stakeholders.
- Experience leading international benefits transformations, including systems integration and process standardization.
- Knowledge of HRIS and benefits technology platforms;Workday experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing benefits programs across multiple geographies, including exposure to M&A or organizational scale events.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.

- The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
- You will be eligible to participate in Sandisk's Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan. Please note that not all roles are eligible to participate in the LTI program, and not all roles are eligible for equity under the LTI plan. RSU awards are also available to eligible new hires, subject to Sandisk's Standard Terms and Conditions for Restricted Stock Unit Awards.
