Responsibilities

Director of Admissions/Intake/Assessment & Referral

The Director of Intake plans, organizes, supervises and directs the activities of the Intake and Admissions Department and is responsible for implementing, monitoring and evaluating the clinical patient assessment and referral process.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the Intake & Admissions staff to achieve effective delivery of service including the daily operations of the Intake & Admissions Department. Maintains extensive knowledge of community resources and makes care decisions that best address the patient needs and represents
the Intake & Admissions Department in hospital matters and supports hospital goals and objectives.

Knowledgeable and able to communicate considerations relative to Patient Rights, Involuntary Detentions, Duty to Warn, Abuse Reporting, Advance Directives and COBRA/EMTALA while maintaining documentation for calls and services received;

As a hospital leader, prepares and submits timely, complete and accurate reports daily, weekly and monthly. Analyzes call data for demographic patterns, clinical trends, and other management considerations.

By supporting the hospital's strategic marketing plan, proactively identifies and responds effectively to opportunities for improving the organization's public image and improving the service delivery system.

Qualifications

Qualifications : To excel in this role, you should have:
  • Clinical Expertise: A Master's degree in a license eligible field such as clinical mental health counseling or social work.
  • Licensure: LPC, LCSW or LMFT required. Candidates with associate licensure with intent to be fully licensed may be considered.
  • Experience: 4 years experience in Intake counseling in a Mental Health Setting or equivalent role in a clinical setting.
  • Leadership: 2 years of supervisory experience managing personnel and clinical integrity of work product
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
