SummaryThe Director of Infrastructure is responsible to understand current and upcoming projects within the IT portfolio and work across teams to ensure enterprise-class solutions are delivered in a timely manner. This includes the coordination with business partners, IT application teams and teams within the Operations organization, in collaboration with and within the PMO processes and structures. The Infrastructure Director will be well-rounded within the Infrastructure disciplines and be capable of engaging the right team members at the right time for success. Strong leadership skills are a must. The position will report to the Chief Information Officer
Essential Duties • Provide overall leadership by managing delivery, scope, deployment planning, change management, and metrics of Enterprise IT Infrastructure.
• Partner with application delivery teams and system owners to validate resource needs and support model feasibility prior to solution deployment; coordinate transition to support organization upon solution delivery
• Facilitate coordination, planning and management for infrastructure areas in phases of development, testing and implementation
• Coordinate with Managers in IT teams to forecast capacity for project delivery and lifecycle of existing infrastructure to ensure solutions are delivered with the highest integrity and timeliness
• Collaborate on the analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvements; collaborate with others within projects, support and operations to unify the technology and processes into a solution; develop business cases, information and technical artifacts that constitute the enterprise infrastructure delivery and solutions
• Ensure solution team adheres to established project delivery methodology and coordinate with PMO-defined processes, milestones and deliverables
• Prepare and deliver executive presentations for solution design and architecture
• Communicate status and vision to partners, management and stakeholders
Travel- This position requires limited travel; 0-25%
Qualifications and Requirements- Retail infrastructure experience preferred
- Familiar with POS and retail PCI requirements
- E-Commerce environment experience preferred
- Experience with VMWare
- Experience designing and replacing LAN / WAN
- Experience negotiating telecommunications contracts
- Experience with internal VOID phone technologyRetail infrastructure experience preferred
- Experience with Office 365 and SharePoint environments
• Bachelor's degree in, engineering, computer science, information systems; 10+ years in IT Infrastructure and some experience in applications
• 10+ years solution delivery and/or architecture experience of infrastructure portfolios
• Understanding and experience with formal project delivery methodologies
• Expert in deploying and monitoring technical solutions across a complex, integrated landscape
• Infrastructure and Operations leadership experience including strong leadership skills, excellent analytical and technical skills, along with strong influencing and interpersonal skills required
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Ability to understand, design and define strategy and execution of strategy and tasks
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously
• Must be a self-starter, results-oriented and have a track record of timely, high-quality deliverables
• Strong collaboration skills with peers and customers
• Excellent verbal/written communications skills
• Exceptional presentation and negotiation/conflict resolution skills
• Experience in retail IT Infrastructure
