Description & RequirementsMANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Director of Infrastructure Engineering to join our team.
You will direct the technical architecture, systems engineering, and implementation of automated enterprise infrastructure and core platforms while serving as the principal architect driving the reinvention of IT operations toward an AI-First, automated operational environment.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Overseeing the architectural design of resilient multi-cloud environments using GCP Networking fabrics (Shared VPCs, Cloud Routers, secure Cloud Interconnects) and aligning network controls and micro-segmentation with NIST 800-207 Zero Trust frameworks.
- Automating centralized security governance and policy distribution globally utilizing Palo Alto Panorama and deploying micro-segmented Next-Generation Firewalls.
- Directing the technical architecture and systems engineering of automated enterprise infrastructure to drive an AI-First operational environment.
- Architecting and deploying production-grade Code Mode MCP servers across enterprise systems like Netskope, BigFix, ServiceNow, Silverpeak, Aruba Central, Okta, and Palo Alto Panorama to enable secure LLM interaction.
- Building unified, autonomous orchestration layers leveraging the Agentic Community's MCP Gateway Registry while establishing agent identity management and permission scoping to enforce Zero Trust security models across AI agent interactions.
- Engineering and maintaining centralized Infrastructure as Code (IaC) libraries with Terraform to govern cloud assets, and implementing automated rightsizing and spend tracking to optimize inference compute costs and cloud resource spend.
Minimum Qualifications:- B.S. in Computer Science, M.S. in Information Technology, or equivalent degree with 15+ years of progressively responsible network engineering experience.
- Significant experience architecting enterprise AI fabrics and Agentic NetDevOps orchestration layers for large-scale operations.
- Extensive background engineering multi-cloud network architectures across GCP, Azure, AWS, and OCI environments.
- Demonstrated expertise maintaining large-scale IaC architectures utilizing Terraform modules and implementing cloud resource FinOps with automated spend tracking and rightsizing.
- Proven capability in managing centralized security governance, micro-segmentation, and Zero Trust implementations at an enterprise scale.
- Experience orchestrating global software-defined WAN fabrics and bare-metal virtualization on KVM hypervisors to reduce legacy licensing costs.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience engineering AIOps pipeline tools utilizing Vertex AI and OpenAI to analyze complex infrastructure dependencies and auto-generate change tickets.
- Strong background creating repeatable network isolation playbooks for M&A activities and rapid federated routing deployments.
- Demonstrated success in large-scale migration engineering, securely moving active developer workloads and production systems to public cloud environments.
- Exceptional ability to lead high-risk maintenance cutovers, standardize bare-metal branch footprints, and drastically reduce site deployment times.
Clearance Requirements:Physical Requirements: - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, and related equipment.
- Frequently communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, and be able to successfully exchange accurate information in these situations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $152,200.00-$273,900.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
