Full Job Description
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee execution of the IT budget.
  • Hires and trains IT staff.
  • Schedules, organizes, and assigns projects to members of the IT team.
  • Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
  • Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
  • Leads development and implementation processes for the organizations IT systems and department.
  • Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
  • Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
  • Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
  • Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
  • Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
  • Coordinates multisite IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP).
  • Procurement and tracking of IT assets.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday.

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, or equivalent certifications and 4 years of technical experience required.
  • At least five years of experience managing an IT department


Preferred Requirements, Special Skills or Knowledge
  • At least (8) years working experience in IT.
  • Strong ability to build teams and expand knowledge base of IT department.
  • Strong ability to lead and manage.
  • Proficient with all Windows Servers operating systems beginning with Server 2012R2.
  • Proficient with all Windows desktop operating systems beginning with Windows 10.
  • Proficient with all types of network hardware including L2/L3 routers and switches.
  • Any types of certificates regarding servers, workstations, networking or network security a plus.
  • Knowledge of hyper-visors for Windows Server(s).
  • Knowledge of Cyber-Security standards and implementation.
  • Knowledge of IT standards such as NIST.
  • Knowledge of phone technologies including T1/PRI circuits, SIP Trunks and POTS lines.
  • Prior experience of implementing phone systems a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to teach others processes for troubleshooting.
